PIPELINE SOCCER CLUB TO PARTNER WITH LIFEBRIDGE HEALTH SPORTS MEDICINE AND NOVACARE REHABILITATION TO PROVIDE PLAYERS PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL CARE AND TRAINING

Pipeline Soccer Club players now have access to professional medical care and training thanks to a newly announced, long-term partnership with LifeBridge Health Sports Medicine and NovaCare Rehabilitation, the area’s leader in physical therapy, athletic training services and specialized rehabilitative care.

NovaCare Rehabilitation’s athletic trainers will be on the field during Pipeline games, and Pipeline athletes will have expedited access to the medical experts at LifeBridge Health Sports Medicine, a group of specialists that cares for top-tier players, including professional and collegiate athletes.

Pipeline athletes will also have fast-track appointments at NovaCare Rehabilitation, which has 18 locations throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area, including three within a few minutes’ drive of the Pipeline Performance Center.

“We are thrilled to offer our players the highest quality health care as a result of this partnership,” said Club President Sean Rush. “At Pipeline, we pride ourselves on offering our players a professional soccer experience, from coaching to facilities to player health and safety. This partnership represents the club’s investment in our players’ physical well-being and in their on-field performance.”

The partnership also grants Pipeline players access to the Parisi Speed School (located at LifeBridge Health & Fitness in Pikesville) which has developed training techniques to improve speed and agility in young athletes, accelerating performance for area athletes for more than 30 years. Some Pipeline participants already tried out the Parisi Speed School and speed testing at an open house that took place on January 10. More open houses for Pipeline participants are planned in the coming months.

“This partnership will provide a one-stop-shop health care experience for our players, from physical therapy, surgical needs and on-field athletic trainers,” Pipeline co-founder Santino Quaranta said. “Our players will be getting the same experience as players at the collegiate and professional levels.”

Players who receive an injury at a practice or game or have any sports medicine concern should go to www.lifebridgehealth.org/sportsmedfast to set up an appointment at LifeBridge Health Sports Medicine. After the initial consult, the provider may recommend further treatment or additional rehabilitation or observation at one of the local NovaCare Rehabilitation centers (see below for a list of sites).

“NovaCare Rehabilitation, in conjunction with partners at LifeBridge Health, is proud to provide sports medicine care to the Pipeline SC community,” said Chris Vigneault, NovaCare’s regional director of sports medicine. “Our sports medicine team is made up of athletic trainers, physical therapists, strength and conditioning specialists and sports medicine physicians to provide a continuum of care. We are confident we will meet and exceed the needs of the program and provide a positive athlete experience when called upon.”

Other benefits of the partnership include on-site educational opportunities for athletes and families, as well as virtual health sessions and community wellness events.
