Pipeline Soccer Club sends six Pre-Academy groups to the National League. This represents the state of Maryland with the most teams from any single club.

Pipeline is proud to announce that it will be sending 6 Pre-Academy teams to the country’s highest league for US youth club. This past year Pipeline had three teams that traveled to North Carolina and Las Vegas over the entire season. In doubling it’s numbers, Pipeline will be on par with Elite clubs such as PDA, FC Dallas, and Scott Gallagher all hosting 5-7 teams in the 12th season of the National League. A common trait of all these clubs above is that they are affiliates of the US Soccer Development Academy.

The National League, entering its 12th season, is home to the nation’s top 14U through 19U Boys and Girls soccer teams, with each team having an individual proven track record of continued success in US Youth Soccer programs.

“Three years ago, Pipeline was in awe of the talent that was in National League and we had hoped one day we would be involved in the league even if just 1-2 teams were invited,” said Club President Sean Rush. “To have 6 teams in is fantastic as it allows so many of our boys and girls to play some of the best USYSA teams in the nation at such great facilities,” Rush added. “We hope to have 2006-2000 boys and girls all invited in 2019-2020”

The National League’s alumni have gone on to prove themselves at the collegiate and professional levels, with former players competing in NCAA Division I, II and III, Major League Soccer, National Women’s Soccer League, the UEFA Champions League, the Olympics and the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

“Last year, our 2001 boys had a great run in National League, but this year we would really like to make our mark in the competitions,” said Director of Coaching Phil Greatwich. “My families and boys are very excited to play in Vegas this spring. It will be great exposure for them in front of a lot of west coast coaches,” added Greatwich.
