General Overview of ECNL/ECRL

GIRLS ECNL:

The Girls Elite Clubs National League (Girls ECNL) was founded in 2009 to enhance the developmental experience of female youth soccer players in the United States through: (i) improving the competitive environment through the creation of a true national competitive league; (ii) improving the process for identifying elite female soccer players through a systematic scouting and identification program based on national competitions; and (iii) improving the daily training environment at top female youth soccer clubs through developing best practices and training and organizational guidelines for its member clubs. The ECNL is sanctioned by US Club Soccer and is sponsored by Nike Soccer.

BOYS ECNL:

The Boys Elite Clubs National League (Boys ECNL) was founded to improve the daily environment for boys youth soccer players through a collaborative club-based development program featuring competition, player identification, and coaching and club development platforms. The Boys ECNL will include both regular season conference games and cross-conference events, and qualifying teams from the Boys ECNL will advance to the post-season Elite National Premier League (ENPL) Playoffs.

The Boys ECNL is based on the values of grass-roots collaboration and innovation, and supports the independence and freedom of coaches and clubs to fully manage the development path for their players, including the system and style of play, the competitive calendar, and all aspects of the development path. The Boys ECNL will raise standards in training, competition, club organization, and coaching in a holistic development program.

US CLUB / NPL / ENPL:

US Club is the governing body of ECNL / NPL / ENPL and future leagues run throughout the United States. The next level of US Club Soccer leagues is the NPL. The NPL provides a unified, club-based national developmental platform with the highest level of competition in its geographic areas which will host Pipelines Pre- ECNL, Black, Red, and Gold teams. “Anything Santino and I focus on has to be club centric and make sense for every team,” said Club President Sean Rush. “The showcases, league play, and opportunities for our Pre-ECNL Groups (currently Black) Black, Red, and Gold teams will be elevated greatly with this platform. Our objective for the past 9 years has been to develop the highest-level players and it is now our job to place those players from all levels, at the best Universities” added Rush

Created to elevate and change the competitive youth soccer landscape based upon US Club Soccer’s fundamental principles, the NPL extends developmental principals espoused by the U.S. Soccer Development Academy into younger age groups and additional clubs, providing a platform for long-term player development.
