The Pete Sarioglou Scholarship

Pipeline Soccer Club's success is a result of the hard work, dedication, and skill of many individuals connected to the Club. Ultimately, that success is measured on the field with championships and player signings. But long before those can occur, much hard work takes place to bring about those successes. The person responsible for making sure that work is happening and is being done the right way-the Pipeline Way-is the coach. That's why when Santino and I founded Pipeline we knew we had to get the best coaches we could to provide the highest quality instruction, training, technical and tactical guidance to ensure the most success for our players and our teams.

We can think of no coach who better exemplifies what it means to be a Pipeline Coach than Pete Sarioglou, which is what makes news of his retirement such a bitter sweet time for all of us.

Coach Pete, as he's known, is a legend in Baltimore Youth Soccer. He is a special coach, an amazing human being, and someone we will consider family for life. He is a coach that all of Baltimore knows, respects, and enjoys sharing the sidelines with.

Coach Pete came to Pipeline in 2015 and ever since, has been such a big part of not only this club, but our lives. Pete Sarioglou is a special person, mentor, and coach. Often seen on the sidelines of Poly, Coach Pete is a coach that demanded the most out of his players and to see all his players win national titles, compete in the highest youth levels, and make it to the collegiate level is a testament to how amazing of a coach he really is.

Coach Pete has developed thousands of youth soccer players throughout the Baltimore Area and we were lucky to have him for 7 years coaching the next generation of soccer stars.

As coach Pete enjoys his retirement, we wanted to make sure his impact on player development continues to be felt long after his retirement from coaching. That is why Pipeline Soccer Club has created a college scholarship in the name of Pipeline's legendary Coach. Beginning this fall, the ‘Coach Pete’ scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior to offset college expenses. We are grateful to all he has done for so many Pipeline players during his time coaching for the club and are pleased that he will continue to contribute to the success of our athletes for many years to come. Thanks for everything, Coach!
